This notice explains how Hey Gift Ltd uses personal data collected through this website, heygift.co. It covers people who visit the site or send us an enquiry through it. It does not cover the Hey Gift gifting platform that our partners' customers use, which has its own privacy policy shown at the point of use.

Hey Gift Ltd is a company incorporated in England and Wales, company number 17430590, with its registered office at 3rd Floor, 104 College Road, Vyman House, Harrow, Greater London, HA1 1BQ. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice and are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can contact us about privacy at privacy@heygift.co.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you complete the demo request form we collect your name, work email address, company name and the sector you select. If you email us we collect your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use these only to keep the site secure and working. This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising tracking.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, arrange and follow up a demo, and keep a record of our business conversation with you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and marketing our services to organisations that have asked to hear from us. You can object at any time by emailing us, and we will stop.
We use server logs to protect the site from misuse and keep it running. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in the security and operation of our website.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website and processes the form on our behalf. Netlify is based in the United States; transfers are covered by the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Netlify's participation in the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Enquiries are then handled in our business email and calendar tools. We do not share your details with any other third party unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we are in an active conversation with you and for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we enter into an agreement with your organisation, in which case they form part of that relationship. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short rolling period, typically 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it, and in some cases to have it transferred to you or another organisation. To exercise any of these rights email privacy@heygift.co. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
